We Have a Parking Lot!

What a difference a bunch of asphalt makes! Yesterday morning we still had a gravel surface that all of the trucks were parking on each morning as they rolled in to work on the building. But today the area is black as night, and smooth as can be for yesterday they came and laid the asphalt for our new parking lot.

It was a fascinating process to watch and of course the smell is very distinctive. But in a matter of hours the site was transformed once again and as one patron said to me as I was leaving last night “A parking lot. It makes it very official.”
