The Library is Closed

Weird! That’s how it feels to all of us, but yet it feels right too. For now as we prepare for this next leg of the journey we can focus on getting things weeded, sorted, re-organized and packed. We are very excited!

Yes, the library is closed for an undetermined length of time, but as the newspaper article stated – “It will be worth the wait.”

You won’t believe this, but the most exciting thing that happened last week for me was that the bulkhead over the new circulation desk was built and the can lights installed. I love to go around to the new front doors and just walk in and stare! It looks like a library!!!!

It’s still dirty and messy and stuff is everywhere, despite Bob Crissman’s efforts to keep it tidy, but it still LOOKS LIKE A LIBRARY! I can actually visualize where the new computers will be and the Hobbit Tree and the coffee bar.

So, yes, the library is closed, but a new and improved library is on its way!
