IT’S HUGE!!!!

Without exception, these words or words like them are what we hear every time a curious patron or passerby stops to take a peek at the expansion. It is very deceiving to be sure when you look from the road or the parking area just how big the expansion really is.

To be exact, it is 4,100 additional square feet – more than double the existing library. Some of the amenities you will find are a History room, a Teen room, a soon to be Community Room (that will be found in the existing part of the building) and a new and improved Children’s room.

They are currently hanging drywall, so it now sports an echo when you talk too loud. Every phase is a new and exciting experience for a greenhorn like me, who has never built anything more than a sandcastle. Stay tuned and next week I will tell you about the bulkhead!
