It’s beginning to look like a library…

If I heard this once, I heard it a dozen times yesterday as we witnessed the Library Design guys installing the children’s room shelving, and then volunteers and staff moving books from carts to fill those shelves. Every person that walked through the door said, “It’s looking like a library.” And indeed it is.

Every time something gets finished it changes the look of the building or the grounds. When we added the wavy walk and planted the hostas last, it transformed the outside. When we put up the bulkhead and set the circulation desk, it created a welcoming entrance. But when you put up shelves and add books – voila! You have a library!

We are finally reaching the end. Right now every time something happens, I say “One more thing done.” But I am looking forward to saying “One more thing to do.”
